Our Team
The Executive Council plays a pivotal role in expanding regional access to opportunities, amplifying women’s voices in the industry, and supporting the next generation of female leaders in trade finance.
Our council comprises accomplished women from across the continent who are driving change within their organisations and the broader trade finance ecosystem. These leaders have volunteered their time and expertise to represent and advocate for the network, ensuring that our initiatives remain relevant, inclusive, and strategically positioned to empower women in trade finance.

A Personal Note
My name is Ahanna Anaba, Head of Sales & Partnerships at Finverity. I spend most of my time traveling across Africa, working with banks and financiers to digitise their supply chain finance offering and drive innovation in trade finance.
When I started the Women in Trade Network, my goal was simple: to create space for women in trade finance to connect, learn from each other, and grow together. I wanted to see more women at conferences, speaking on panels and leading initiatives.
In just over a year, this idea has grown such an inspiring community of over 300 women with a dedicated Executive Council.
This network exists because of you, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support, engagement, and momentum we’ve built.
Thank you.
Ahanna
